Amul! A name well known in the ice-cream community, and perhaps the king of desserts few years back. The time before waffles and freakshakes, was dominated by choco-bars and mango-dollys, form the most trusted milk and milk products brand in India. Sorry for getting a bit side-tracked, but was familiarising you to the greatness of Amul.
In todays time, I think AMUL is a forgotten brand when it comes to icecreams that is, and it wont be long that they will restrict their domain, excluding the most popular dessert ever.
Coming to this particular outlet, I just loved it. It was truly amazing. We were a group of friends, and everyone had a different flavour, so I was able to taste a bunch of ice-creams. Each one was quite good, but my personal favourite was ORANGE OREO. The goodness of 2 of my favourite flavours, combined into one. Tanginess of orange, with the chocolaty taste of oreo cookies, a perfect match. The cherry on the cake was their freshly prepared crunchy waffle cone! Just loved it.
The size of their scoops is generous, and its priced aptly as well. They also had to offer sundaes and thickshakes besides a great variety of ice-cream flavours to choose form. Amul is truly special, and it is trying to make changes to keep up with the modern times. My wishes and love will always be with them, keep going!
