Amul is the acronym for Anand Milk Union Limited, a dairy co-operative company in Gujurat, India that markets a wide range of products including milk pwder, milk, butter, ghee, chocolates, Shrikhand, Nautramul & many more. Amul products have been popular in India for the past many decades, & as the time passes by, it has been coming with newer & better products. When Amul initially began in 1946, they primarily sold butter & chocolates. Today, this brand sells countless products, especially the varities of ice-creams.
Amul ice-creams have been a hit with the people, alongside other brands of ice-creams. Its popularity has been equivalent to some of the other brands of ice-creams that include Kwality Walls, Baskin-Robbins, Mother Dairy, etc. Some of the varieties are listed below:-
1) Royal treat range
2) Nut-o-mania range
3) Natures treat
4) Sundae range
5) Assorted treat
6) Utterly delicious
7) Amul Sugar free ice cream range
8) Amul Profile Probiotic ice-cream
Each of these varities have got their own flavours & taste. For e.g - The Royal treat range includes flavours like Butterscotch, Vanilla, etc & the Sundae range includes Sundae Magic, Double Sundae & many more. A typical cup would contain 80 ml of ice-cream & would cost Rs 10-15.Cone as well as family packs/sundae costs even more depending on the flavour & the size. Although its taste may be great, nothing is perfect. Many of their ice-creams contain high calories & fats which may not be good on a regular basis.
It used to be my one time favourite & I woould recommend it to all those who would love to try something different always.
