Anamika.. nameless, faceless, lustreless

With a cliched title as this the results were almost as if predictable.

But sometimes I guess I just am a masochist and try and see films which

I know are going to majorly disappoint.

This is one example of a

film which should never have been made. Imagine Indianising the classic

’Rebecca’ , hugely mutilated version and that too by a rather zero talent director Anant

Mahadevan..I am sure he would transform even a Sholay into a disaster

or is that reserved only for RGV?

I hate to be rude and all that

but sometimes one wonders just how delusioned some film makers are. I

mean how could he have imagined that he could carry through a book like

Rebecca with its subtleties?

Look getting into the story will be

boring and in any case I am quite sure you guys are not going to see

it. But here goes. Minisha and dino get married after a brief courtship. Dino was previously wedded and the first wifes presence , ghostly :) haunts Minisha as being constantly compared etc. eerie surroundings ( tried hard but failed) were meant to lend to atmosphere..when Minisha is also found dead .. Now ?? Oh im not a spoil sport or rather imbued with ethics.. therfore that is all..

Anant has directed for television also I think. He should have kept

it at at that. It requires a certain mastery to convey emotions. Just

being a copy cat will never help. And believe you me all one gets to

see is hijacked shot takings and feel. One can guess however if

something is organic or not.. this looks terribly copy paste.

Locations were good..but then locations are meant to add to a scene not be the whole and sole saving grace.

Dino

.. In this film he looked at a loss as if he doesn’t know what the hell

he is doing here. And he seriously needs to brush up on his dialogue

delivery..so carelessly overlooked by the Director. I guess both need

classes..the actor for dialogues and the Director a crash course on movie making,

egolessness and pompous free living. I am told he is a blabbermouth who

thinks the world about himself. Results show!

Minisha lamba is better than expected but overly confident. A slight tone down would have

worked.See I feel performances are much a directors domain as an

actors. If actors deliver the Director deserves as much credit and in

this case discredit.

Good.. healthy ego is essential..But Bloated ego based on zilch talent is not acceptable :)

Overall, let Anamika be a nameless faceless, idea if you know what is good for you.
