We were there in vasco more than two days, most eager to try out an authentic goan non veg Thali and here we were standing just in front of’THE’ Anantashram. It was my father who had been there some 16 years back and with the mere memory of the tasty food there he was drwan back to come back there.
Looking at the entrance we the thought did cross our minds that the place may be too much pricey, but once we went in we did find out that the place was pretty reasonable with different price range and variety.
We ordered veg and non veg dishes. The famous fish thali costed only 100/- bucks and was delicious along with solkadhi(a delicious drink made of kokam and coconut milk served in coastal regions of maharashtra and Goa) The thali has a great authentic goan taste.
They also have fish thali worth around 350/- Rupees which is huge and amazing. they also serve lot of other delicious veg and non veg dishes along the famous portugese desserts Serradurra and bebinca which can be little costly. These desserts can also be tried in bakeries of madgaon at a cheaper price.
If you love coastal food and want to try the local dishes a visit to anantashram is must.
