My brother Sajan.K.V was admitted at Ananthapuri hospital due to Covid positive on 29th June, 2021. For discharging I’ve reached hospital on 5th July, 2021 morning around 9am. I asked the reception and the security about the things to take from his room. They told me that I’ve to wait in the reception only, they will bring the patient and things. Till 7pm I waited and after the bill settlement the nurse informed my brother to inform the bystander to come to the back gate. He informed me this. Near to reception security told me the route to reach the back gate. I’ve reached there and waited for more than 15 minutes. My brother called me and said the nurse showed him one way and said that you go this way. None gone for taking his things. By holding three bags in both hands, he struggled for finding the place where to walk because of the unfamiliar place.
We never expected this type of experience from Ananthapuri hospital. By expecting best treatment and care only we chosen this hospital for covid treatment. Covid patient can enter the hospital through frontage and staff is there to take the things to room while taking admission. But at the time of discharge , covid patient have to come out through back gate without any support? Is this humanity? We didn’t expected such a bitter experience from this hospital. Feeling pity about this hospital administration.
