must-see for kamal fans.his performance as nalla is too good.if one keenly notes his cheeks straining as he keeps biting inside his mouth (or whatever one might call it) as many marred-face persons would do, throughout the movie (straight from the moment he comes to rest after falling thru the slope of a hill beneath a tree) is just gr8.the ideological confrontations between kamal and madhavan is a highlight of the movie.(eg. : taj mahala idichitta love panradha niruthiduveengala ?. kamal asking madhavan If taj mahal is destroyed wud you stop loving ? as a reply to maddys accusation that communism is dead and out by referring to USSR.)madhavan, surprisingly has a heavy role (put in other words, equal to that of kamals) to play in this movie.the flashback is a bit too long and has some unnecessary stunts too. if one sees the movie as the knowing-the-world-phase of madhavan, thanks to his travel along with a battered-in-life kamal from a rain(or rather storm) trodden orissa to chennai, the movies damn good.lowpoints -- lengthy scenes of romance and fight sequences in the flashback.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED(i dint know how to bring highly recommended in the review list for my review entry. so I enter it here)
