The Greatness of Nothingness

What is life? What is the true meaning of happiness? Where does fate come in? When we were born, what was the purpose of this life? What is the true meaning of meditation?

These, and many more questions constantly plague the average human mind, over and over again. As man confronts one problem after another, he starts looking inwards, rather than outwards, for solace and relief. For all such tormented souls, one of OSHO?s foremost disciples, Gurudev, as he is popularly known, has written a wonderful book.

Gurudev conducts 40-day camps, for all those who wish to see the true meaning of their lives, and this book is a collection of his talks. Gurudev takes the student onto a state where everything that we see is just a vision, a ’maya’.

Meditation has many forms, including laughter, which Gurudev makes his class do, frequently. On the path to enlightenment, as one goes higher, there is only nothingness. His sessions are filled with music and dance, as one learns to forget oneself. Attacking popular myths and conditionings, Gurudev channels the minds to think otherwise, and break the shackles of normal thinking.

Be aware, be present, connect to yourself and to the universe are some of the thoughts echoed in this book. An excellent read, for all the philosophically minded, and for all seekers. Will change your perceptions about life, as page after page takes you more deeper into yourself.
