I have always been a great lover of comedy movies. I can give you a long list of movies that can be and have technically been called as family comedy films, and are remembered till now due to their extra ordinary content. The first few of them are – Golmaal, Chupke chupke, Jaane bhi do yaaro, Khubsoorat, Jhoothhi, Hera pheri, all David Dhawan – Govinda and Sanjay Dutt – Govnda collaborations. Although I would like to keep ANDAZ APNA APNA on the top of the list just because it contains comedy at each dialogue, expression, scene, song and most importantly the characterization. It shows the kind of stress that must have been put into each part of the movie. Don’t forget to include the music department in the discussion. With the songs like – YE RAAT AUR YEH DOORI, ELLO ELLO, DIL KARTA HAI TERE PASS AAOON are truly the gems of songs. They would take you back to the 1950s. Vanraj Bhatia, the music director, along with Majrtooh Sultanpuri, the lyricist, have done a wonder job in the movie. This has to be treated as a great ton as, in such a time where every other person thinks of becoming a musician and lyricist with pocketful of money, with no real talent. I wonder why he disappeared after the movie. I remember that he made return with his music in a film called Sardari Begum. But it didn’t run well.
The movie is a homogenous mixture of sensibility, comedy, intelligence, honesty and purity. It can best identified and explained as follows:

A – An alarm to the so called directors that TALENTED FILM MAKERS ARE STILL AROUND
This is exactly how I feel about the movie. Every word and every description happens to be straight from my heart. Once you get a chance to see even a particular scene of this movie you will stick to it, and would like to see the entire of it time and again.
I salute all the great minds behind and congratulate them on being the makers of a quality movie that will be seen and remembered for long, at least by me!
