I opened account(id CHNA 2564) with Angel Broking on August 2013 T.nagar, Chennai branch. I called up the local office as I didn’t know how to use the interface.
Sometime later I got a call from Angel office, the lady introduced herself as Chitralekha & said she will help me make good trades(all I asked was demo of the interface). Then She was pleading me to invest Rs.30000 for making money(for who?). Chitralekha also gave her personal cell number: 9940179481(why?). The very day she called me at 8:45 pm when I was asleep. Why did she call me at that time?(no idea).
Next morning she called me at 08:15 am as I was getting ready for my work and said she is going to do some strategy. I didn’t understand what it was & said ok. Minutes later she called me and said she bought Bank Nifty, I didn’t have any clue what it was. 2 mins later she said she is averaging and later she told me she sold them and said I suffered a loss of just Rs6500(whose money is that?). I was shocked & upset so I cut the call.
I went to the Angel Office demanding explanation for the trade which was done by misleading & tricking me. I was approached by Gayathri(Manager) and she led me to the Branch Manager(Prakash or Kishore, I dont remember) & Team Leader Rajesh. Both dismissed saying it was my fault and everything is on record. I asked them to play the audio recording. They refused saying it is internal & there is a process. When asked about the process they simply asked me to send a mail to feedback@angelbroking.com.
I sent the mail as they said and the reply from them is as follows:

As per our conversation dated 30th August 2013, please note that all the trade related information was provided to you and you were always provided with Contract Notes, bills and trade confirmation through SMS on your mobile.
In view of the aforesaid, we are of the opinion that you were aware of all the trades being carried out by you in your account.
In view of what is stated hereinabove, we state that we will not be able to help you out in any manner as far as your investment and the loss arising there out are concerned.
Thus, this is the final response from our end considering all the facts and proofs.
As per the terms of the risk disclosure document, you as a client are required to be aware of the various risks associated with securities market and you continue to remain responsible for your investment decisions.

The Branch office refused to entertain my position and asked me to only contact by email or phone.They don’t have toll free number because they don’t want complaints registered for free. Anyway no one there responds to compliants. So I eventually closed the account fearing further misuse.
I request all those who suffered loss due to Angel Broking to join hands & make the case strong enough for justice and to make them shut shop.
To sum-up:
Angel Broking is #1 Fraud Broker. Avoid ANGEL they are DEVILS.
