Variety is Dan Brown's motive

After reading Da Vinci Code, the reader may get an impression that Dan Brown is a history-mythology type of writer. But after reading Angels and Demons, all such misconceptions are removed. Dan Brown is a versatile writer who does a lot of hard work in writing his books. His research on every book is commendable.

Angels & Demons id supposed to be a prequel to the Da Vinci Code. But except the character Robert Langdon there is no relation whatsoever between the two books. Though it is identical to Da Vinci Code in its thrill and pace.

Angels and Demons is also a fast-paced thriller with a scientific theme. Its first half gives you a great deal of information on the fast growing field in physics called particle physics. He takes you into the heart of CERN, a very secret science organization, which has made some of the most popular inventions in the world like the World Wide Web (better known as internet), which is thought to be an invention of the US army.

As in the second half he takes you to Vatican City where a pope has died and the election of the new one is about to take place. All the action in the book takes place here.

Dan Brown’s style has beaten all the popular action-thriller authors. His books do not have undercover spies or CIA agents but normal people like us get involved in some kind of a trouble and have to run for their lives.

This book has a high IQ and full of historical texts, places and a great deal about Galileo and his scientific breakthroughs. It portrays the very old conflict between the church and science in a very balanced manner. All the historical texts referred to in this book are real and actually exist.

Read the book for enlightening yourself or for the suspense and thrill but do read it.
