Kumble cannot be compared with the likes of Warne, Murali & Saqlain since his major wickets have come on home pitches and just finished up with another disappointing SA tour.
He does not carry the attacking attitude like the above guns and has taken his place for granted in the ODI’s.
In short he is good in test matches played on home pitches and should be avoided in ODI’s.
Reaching 300 wickets was bound to happen since he has secured his position in the team by performing as and when on home soil for a long time.
