Annadurai movie starring Vijay Antony & produced by Radhika Sarath Kumar hit the silver screen. There were lot expectations after watching the trailer. Let’s see what the movie is all about.
STORY LINE: Annadurai and Thambidurai are twin brothers. Annadurai fails in his love and becomes an alcoholic. Meanwhile, Thambidurai settles in his life and gets ready for marriage. But, suddenly police arrest Annadurai under a muder charge. Here with this incident entire family of Annadurai fells in web of troubles. How did Annadurai and Thambidurai managed to get their family out of troubles and what happened finally is the story.
PERFORMANCE: Vijay Antony did well in his role and his acting as a love failure and drunkard was also quiet impressive. He managed to perform well in both characters viz. Annadurai and Thambidurai. Dayana’s acting as female lead was also good. Radha ravi’s acting was also good. All other artists did their best but there was nothing much impressive.
TECHNICAL VALUES: Cinematography by Dil raj was ok. Editing by Vijay Antony was not upto the mark. Ananthmani’s art work was great.
MUSIC: Music was composed by Vijay Antony himself. Some songs were quiet good but most of them failed to connect with the people. The background score was awesome.
POSITIVES:
The story line of twins was a new one.
The emotions between both the brothers is heart touching.
Strong heroic elevation was produced wherever necessary.
Song picturisation was superb.
Action scenes were great.
Interval twist is also.
NEGATIVES:
The story line was not that great, some scenes were forcibly zigzagged into the movie.
Slow pace of screenplay and narration.
Too much of independence exhibited by the director.
Lackluster emotions.
Too many and unwanted twists and turns.
Multiple story plots go hand in hand and confuse the audience.
Slow and boring second half.
Dull & uninteresting story point.
Sluggish music for some songs.
Poor direction. G. Srinivas’s direction was not great, his first mistake was the attempt of exhibiting number of stories together in one go. He couldn’t manage the twists and turns in the film. Rather than too many stories within one show, he could have shown only one story point. Overall, this movie was not a match in comparison to Vijay antony’s acting talent. Mass audience could enjoy this movie a little bit but most of the audience will find it boring.
The second half will definitely test your patience. It was a dissappointing and below average movie.
