Review :
Anniyan Story…. extravaganza. excellent performance by vikram, breathtaking stunts, sharp crisp dialogues by sujatha, superb direction by shankar and the result product is Anniyan. anyway the story review has been done by my other friends in mouthshut so lemme target some intersting noteworthy things that I observed in anniyan and things that can be tailored for betterment.
first highlight is the stunt scene
similar to jackie chan, crouching tiger and matrix which had never come in any of the indian movies. it will attract all the centers and ou will forget to close ur mouth nor leave ur breath. ofcourse it is full of fantasy and not a bit is realistic.
sharp dialogues by sujatha -
be it that agrakaram ambis brahmin accent , or the youth ful remo or the heavy accent crucifier anniyan the dialogues are strong, crisp and simple and reaches ones mind quite easily without complication.
music and picturisation
music by harris is not that great as rehman but scintillating one. aiyangar veetu, kumari and andangakka are good. shankar mahadevans commanding voice in kumari and randakaka song of gift is really pleasing. shankars effort in bringing things alive is visible in the picturisation of the songs. yana gupta is not that romantic.
vikram vikram
vikrams performance during interrogation is fantastic . the transition from one character to another is spine chilling and is with full applause. this movie is defntly another feather on vikrams cap. He justifies his national award he recd before aniiyan’s release.
shankar shankar movies are known for gorgeous, style and richness. all the scenes are done tastefully and is rich with content.visualize a laymans mind and brings life to everything. the duo sujatha and shankar failed miserably in boys but inspite of that they dint lost their binding and proved their vitality in anniyan which is another appreciable aspect.
now coming to the darkside of the movie.
why should anniyan target simple people when there are so many culprits , cheaters criminals at all levels. the road accident targets the qualis car holder and anniyan murders him cruelly abd bruttally. but why should he leave people who pushed the oldman and people who deferred from helping the old man. major flaw. its sometimes irritating to see vikram killing insane people in this fashion.
herioine selection is poor. she is neither gorgeous nor homely and looks like a patient in many scenes. needless to say in a hero oriented movie heroine has no place but still an attractive face would have been fit for the role.
a movie not to be missed .anniyan is no more a stranger shankar can breath freely and oscar films ravichandran can go smiling to the bank
