I noticed that the water heater was not providing good hot water - for one 5 minute shower.
I raised the matter with AO Smith’s’customer service’(if we could call that one, i.e.). They sent a technician who measured the temperature on the AO Smith unit I had then recently purchased and another of my Bajaj Majesty water heater.
The technician himself saw that the water temperature on the Bajaj Magesty was much higher - which gave good hot water during Mumbai winter.
But he said he could not do anything because the water temperature was "within AO Smith parameters".
A follow up email to AO Smith resulted in the same technician calling me - and I was not interested in wasting time going through the same process.
Am waiting to junk this and buy a better water heater.
Note - I would rate lower if I could on the "Help and Support".
