Finally had to get local installer on my own.
No installation done in 15 days by AOSmith technician.
AOSmith makes decent quality geysers but buying online from AOSmith can try your patience.
Completely incompetent service department. They have various tools for requesting service such as Salesforce case-management website, email, whatsapp, phone(pay extra though, not covered by monthly plans!) etc. but nothing happens after service is requested.
The first technician was rude and unprofessional and did not show up at the appointed time.
I requested another technician by all the above modalities - Salesforce case-management website, email, whatsapp, phone.
Nothing happened except messages "we are escalating". NO ONE CALLED BACK IN 15 DAYS.
I finally gave up and hired a non-AOSmith technician to get it installed. Repair by non-AOSmith technician may be difficult though.
Also, there were annoying robot-calls from Amazon who kept calling multiple times a day to say "Already installed? No? Contact the manufacturer." What is the purpose of these Amazon calls multiple times everyday if they are not able to contact manufacturer?
I finally had to screen the Amazon calls - but they kept on calling.
I think it is best to buy these things offline.
