The only reason I bought AO SMITH water heater is because I was told they provide superior customer service. In fact, when I first bought the unit last year, their customer support was satisfactory.
However, this year, I find that their customer support has completely gone down the drain. Forget about 1 hr service callback guarantee, you’d be lucky if you get a call within 48 hrs after logging a service request. I registered a service request 2 days before and I am yet to get a single call from them.
AO SMITH customer support is EXTREMELY BAD. Do not make the mistake I made. Go with any other brand but not AO SMITH. They don’t give a damn about their customers once the sale is made.
Currently, I own two AO SMITH water heaters in my home and was thinking of installing a third one but after seeing how AO SMITH deals with their customers, there is NO WAY I am going with this brand or recommending them to anyone ever.
