This time I’m here to give my feedback on a product, AO Smith Puritee Plus RO Water Purifier.
I had got AO Smith Puritee Plus RO Water Purifier installed at our Indirapuram(Ghaziabad) flat on 20 May 2015.
Since then, we experienced very problematic functioning of the machine. Every 4-5 months it started giving candle replacement alarm and caused frequent candle replacements during this period. All the candles and RO membrane were lastly replaced on 3 February this year.
It is also surprising, that after expiry of warranty, their engineer revealed that the motor of the machine needed replacement as due to that the machine was giving false alarm for a candle replacement. I took the matter with their area in charge Mr Manoj who too did not listen to my grievances. I ultimately thought it better to get rid of the machine than to continue making an undesirable expenditure of around 4-5 thousand every 4 months. I finally took the machine off the wall and got some other time-tested reliable brand installed in my flat, as daily requirement of water could not have waited the settlement of matter by the company. During the whole period the knob of the machine that regulates dispensing of water from the machine, too, went out of order and got replaced. I experienced very unprofessional and disappointing after-sale service the company AO Smith has to provide. My emails too have not been replied to by the company.
So, when the next time you are buying a product, do not be attracted by big names and go for the most time tested ones.
