I purchased an AO Smith water filter over 3 years ago and have been paying for their annual AMC every year. Recently I discovered that during one of their services, a technician bypassed the entire filtration unit and even removed the carbon filter. This meant that for over a year my family was drinking unfiltered tap water, without my knowledge.
In this time, I suffered severe stomach issues, spent heavily on doctors, and trusted their AMC visits where every technician kept saying everything is fine. No one noticed the bypass or missing filter.
This is not a service issue this is dangerous negligence that compromised my familys health. Customers should be very careful before trusting AO Smith service. If you already own one, please check if your water is actually being filtered.
