AOL 8.0! WOW! I couldn’t wait for the newest upgrade of AOL.
The very first day it was out, I downloaded it. It took 5 hours, but I got it done. I was ready for the ’’Newest and Better’’ AOL!
BOY AM I SORRY!
Whereas I used to connect at over 115000 BMP, I now connect at just over 36000 BMP. That is, when it connects at all. It usually takes me more than one try to connect now.
They took away 1/2 the access phone numbers I used to have. Which means more and more people are having to use less and less access phone numbers.
Pages load slower, if they load at all!
I constantly get ’’error’’ messages. ’’This page can not be displayed’’, ’’Server is busy’’, ’’Error in DLL so and so’’ and so on and so on. I also get dropped a lot and disconnected a lot. What a hassle!
8.0 also uses up memory twice as fast as 7.0. For things I used to be able to do while having many windows open at the same time, I can no longer do.
If you don’t empty your temporary file folder a few times a day, you can’t even load any new pages because your space and memory is ’’eaten’’ up.
Sure, you may be able to add color to your e-mail now. You can add new and improved buddy icons and block unwanted spam. There are better parental controls and you have your choice of backgrounds for your home page, but come on..........you can’t use any of it if you get frustrated just trying to sign on!
I’ve spoken to many people who have uninstalled the new 8.0 already and reinstalled 7.0 , and are much happier. That may just be my next step as well!
How come ’’new and improved’’ really can never be just that?

Uninstalled 8.0..Back to the old 7.0 and MUCH happier!
