: I’ve been with AOL for almost 10 years amd have seen positive changes with every new version. Their new spam filters include an area in which you can designate a word of phrase (i.e. ’’Viagra’’ or ’’Custom lenders’’) that, if included in your incoming email, will send it directly to the spam folder.
They also screen emails for viruses - (don’t ask me where they get the time & personnel to do that. The only drawback for me is the price, but I’ve always felt that I’ve gotten my money’s worth. Their 24/7 live Customer Service dept. is always friendly & helpful, and you can telephone them, important if your web connection is FUBAR’d. People call AOL ’’the Internet for Beginners’’ as a slam, but personally, I don’t care.
Anything that makes life less complicated is a real plus, at least for me. They have several price plans, and it’s always been easy to change my billing and/or personal info. In short, they provide an enormous range of services. AOL is an excellent ISP, certainly one of the biggest and best.
