Wanna Chat with Relatives for FREE?

I use America Online as my Internet provider, but I also regularly use AOL Instant Messenger. The AIM has more features than the Instant Messenger that is built into your AOL software.

If you want to try out AIM then you can visit https://aol.com/aim. This service is free to anyone with Internet access. You don’t have to be a member of AOL or pay to use the AIM.

The features of AIM (AOL Instant Messenger).

~ you can send photos from one Instant Message to another which is called ’’direct connect’’. This seems to be the most convenient way to send pictures from one person to another now days.

~ can send downloaded links or pictures to the person’s computer so that they can see it directly after it downloads.

~ You can choose different Emoticons that are different faces to use during chatting to express your emotions such as kissing, tearful, sad, happy, sticking out tongue, these are just to name a few.

~ You have a buddy list which is for you to know which of your friends are online. You will hear sounds like a door opening when one of your friends sign on. When you hear the door slam that’s them leaving.

~ You can talk live with them. To do this you must have a microphone and a sound card. You will be able to hit the talk button to connect with your buddies computer and from there you will be able to talk in the microphone on your end and they can hear you on their computer. As long as your connection is completed. I have had a lot of trouble connecting with people but they can hear me. I just can’t get them to come in without being choppy.

~ You can also go into a buddy chat where all of your friends online can join together and talk. Its really neat when you have a bunch of old friends online together. Especially if you don’t live around home anymore.

I would have to say that AIM is one of the best online chatting systems that I have used without difficulty. I have downloaded many chatting systems and most of them give me problems or are to complicated to use. I have not had one minutes trouble with this.

The best way to connect with loved ones if you live far away. Reduces your phone bill and to top it off you can get the best effects by using the microphone. If you need to send copied files to one another you can do this as well.

I find that using AIM is better than using AOLs built in Instant Messenger when I am wanting to chat with others that don’t have AOL. Its fast and convenient.
