I just happen to get carried away by this American Brand of Home UPS Model: HI800SQ (thats what they call this inverter). I bought this product on March 2007. Since the day we bought this product for our house, we must have made atleast 4-5 complaints to APC regarding non-functioning of this inverter and twice this product got replaced by them. This product came with 2 years of warranty on both battery and inverter. Since I stay in UP - where power supply is extremely erractic, this UPS needs Manual resetting almost every month (which I have learnt it now from seeing this guys doing it).
AND Now from past 10 days this Inverter is down, After several complaints (No. C1-648875195), one engineer showed up, he said the battery is gone bad and it needs replacement; so I immediately arranged for a new battery, and he connected the battery with the Inverter and switched the UPS and it worked, and then he left saying the old battery would be replace immediately by APC (as it was still under warranty). The moment he left, the lights went off and the Inverter tripped with no lights as usual. Since then we have been making repeatedly calls to APC, so far there is no response from them - Each time we call, they promise that somebody would be there tomorrow to fix these 2 problems (one of battery, the other of UPS). IT HAS BEEN OVER 10 DAYS SO FAR NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE.
