I bought APC Inverter with great expectations. two years replacement guarantee attracted me.
The inverter failed to work within six months. The Company personnel after great difficulty came and replaced the inverter as he could not set right the fault. The inverter again failed to work just two days before the warranty expired. We immediately reported to Service personnel. APC has one toll free number which you will never get connected. The other option is to ring up their Bangalore office spend on STD. I contacted the personnel and he said your two warranty has already expired. The new inverter replaced was of old date. The person said from the Sr. Number of the instrument he observed that warranty has already been lapsed. The service personnel asked Rs, 500/- for just checking the instrument and cost of repairs was too high.
Please advise If the product is replaced during warranty period, then the warranty should restart from the date the replacement is installed..
