I purchased a apc sinewave 850VA home ups from SevenHills, Chennai in May.2011 mainly to avoid powerdisruption during a family function schduled during June-July2011. Unfortunately, from the day one theinvertor gave trouble.Neither the Service center nor the supplier Sevevhills were of any help for rectifying the defects.The irony is that the mechanics sent by apc service center have basic knowledge of electricity and they were trained only to open the invertor, do some standard checks and telling that there is no problem in inverter and close the complaint. I specifically asked their online service center to send some senior mechanics who knows about electrical circuits and domestic wiring, till date nobody came to attend the repairs and still I have the junk with me costing me Rs.27000/.
This is the only Invertor co does not have a proper administrative set up to handle the customer complaints and rly only on outsourced halfbaked mechanics. I will wait for another week and then throw the invertor in the street.My request to Public is that donot carry away my MNC brand image of APC and never buy this brand.
