APC - A GOOD PRODUCT WITH WORST CUSTOMER CARE

I am Samir from Bangalore. I purchased an APC inverter of 1000 VA in March 2007 and till July 09 2008 I did not have any problems. I called up the customer care and registered the complaint bearing the complaint number c1-683733486 on the 10th of July. On 14th of July, a person came and inspected the inverter and told me that the batteries needs to be replaced, which will be done in a weeks time or in 10 days time due to non availability of stock.


Even after 10 days when I did not get a call from them, I called them back to find the status of the replacement of the batteries. From that day onwards, till today I am getting the same response, that they will contact the service center and get back to you which has never happened. Luckily, I caught hold of a Customer Care executive who told me that they will be giving me a 100 AMPS batteries instead of 80 AMPS. But later when I checked with my inverter, they have to give 100AMPS instead of 80 APMS batteries.


I tried calling the Customer Service Manager of Karnataka, Mr. Nehal Dixit, but his number is always busy. I tried calling the Customer Service Manager of the Country, Mr. Eshwar, he never picks up either his landline or his cell. And I really do not know when my batteries will be replaced. Whenever we want a product and ask for the information, they will not leave us until we purchase the product. And after we purchase, the customer care is the worst.


I request all the APC customers to maintain the batteries by themselves because even though we call up for maintainence, they never come for it and blame us for not maintaining the batteries.


This is the kind of Customer Support we are getting
