JHA WITH ANOTHER SOCIAL ISSUE

Prakash Jha comes up with his next thriller ’Apharan’ starring his all time favourite Ajay Devgan and glamorous girl Bipasha Basu.

The story based on the relationship between politicians and gangsters in Bihar. It also highlights how gangsters with full support of police and top bureaucrats kidnap people and run their extortion racket.

Nana Patekar, who plays a politician managing kidnapping business, plays his role at his best.

Devgan plays role of a young boy who do not have good relation with his father (Mohan Agashe) and is looking for better job opportunity. Complex relation with family and lack of proper job opportunity drives this young man (Ajay Devgan) into kidnapping business.

The story line is strong and has been shot well.

There are certain point where film goes bit boring but then its worth watching.

Jha known for highlighting social issue has tried to justify his latest idea. Movie contains only one item song which does not look out of place.

Ajay Devgan acted well in the movie but Bipasha who is seen in a totally deglamorised role of a salwar-kameez clad girl next-door has least shown her acting skills.

Along with Ajay, Bipasa and Nana Patekar; Ayub Khan, Cleo Isaacs, Yashpal Sharma, Anoop Soni, Akhilendra Mishra, Brij Gopal and Khalid also acted in the movie.

Tight editing was required for the movie to bring more thrill in it.Jha succeeded in conveying his idea to public but failed to keep the charisma of ’Gagaajal’ .
