Good for blood tests, not for consultation

I regularly go to the one in Koramangala, for all kind of blood works that need to be done, or for a routine check up.

The infrastructure is decent, but the staff is highly disorganized, and the fact that they do not take appointments but go on a first come serve basis can be annoying.

It takes ages for one of the receptionist to log you in even if you are a regular, and it’s always looking bad when you have 5 ladies snatching bills and prescription from one another and take more than 10 minutes to print your bill.

As far as Drs are concerned there, I used to rely on that place for visits because I didn’t know anybetter, I had a OB-GYN who was a total quack made racial assumption (my weight gain wasn’t hormonal to her until. b

I forced her to do the test, but simply due to the fact I was a foreigner and therefore didn’t cook and ate junk food all day...yeah right!), I stuck with her until pregnant pregnancy that ended up in a miscarriage and I blame her on it as she didn’t prescribed all the right treatment from the start.

Generalist hysician there are no different than anywhere else they prescribe antibiotics like candies for about just any sneeze. The dental check up was brief, with a harsh clean up and no comments on how my mouth was doing. All in all the best consulting Dr I go there was for my eye check up, he is the only one in there acting like a pro.

The waiting area is a mess and you need to constantly remind them you are here waiting to see Dr so and so as even though you come at the earliest, they will tell you 3 persons have to go in first, and when those 3 persons have passed you notice they squeezed another one in.

And tell you there are 2 more before your turn, I’ve never waited less than an hour for a Dr appointment there. And most of the time the Drs aren’t on time, a shame when it’s only 2 hours of their time spent at the clinic anyway.

The lab department on the second floor is better the lab technicians are friendly the receptionist efficient, and apart from a few techies who insisted drawing blood in my right arm ignoring my repeated claim that veins there move I never had a complain, the bathroom is clean enough, a real plus when you have to go there for a urine sample, and reports are generally delivered when they say it will be.

So this is a good place if you have a not to serious things to have checked (like a persistent fever) or an eye check up, but definitely not the place to go if you want a regular follow up with one single Dr.Be prepared to wait due to the staff incompetence at keeping track of who came first for what.
