I visited the hospital after my urine confirmation of pregnancy. First day of my visit I was made wait for more than 2 hours saying there was a delivery which was understandable. When I met the doctor, she went through my previous hospital treatment and advisede that she will scan for pregnancy confirmation instead of blood test. After scan she said she can’t see anything, and filled with negativity she said I might have an ECOTOPIC pregnancy or miscarriage and advised for blood test for for increase in hcg count. With all that negativity in my head I was so tensed and couldn’t sleep that entire night. As a doctor she should know that at week 4 there are less chances of anything to appear in scan.
Second day I took an appointment for 10 as I had to go for work at 12. I visited hospital at 9 45 enquired about doctor arrival and I was told 15 min. Believe it or not I waited for 2 hours again. When I enquired with receptionist they were not sure why the delay and doctor house is very close by and will visit anytime. There were ladies waiting from 8 in morning. Everybody started enquiring. Finally doctor decided to visit at 12 and came in yelling in local languag saying "whoever is asking where the doctor is throw them out of the hospital". We could here her yelling at receptionist the same again and again. Finally I was taken to the consultant room with my mom. Surprisingly receptionist had already told doctor that I had enquired about her being late. As soon as doctor entered the room she is like "you need to have some patience".
Anyway after seeing my hcg had doubled the doctor was still not happy about it. She still seem to have doubts and still tried to fill my head with etopic pregnancy and insisted for another scan.
We just had enough and walked away and visited another well reputed hospital who did a scan at week 7 and by baby is fine.
Doctor need to positive and should preach the same. And should try and be punctual. She didnt even know which tablets to suggest as I have pcos. Sad sad.
