My Father was a diabetic patient for the last 30 yrs. Few months back, our family physician put him on Insulin because his diabetic pills are not responding well. In spite of putting him on Insulin, his sugar was level was high. I request him to come to Bangalore to consult with a good diabetic doctor.
I tried to Google around to find the best doctor in Bangalore. Since I stay in Bannarghttta Road, my first choice was Apollo Hospital(Apollo clinic for diabetics) or Wockhardt hospital. So without a second thought, I moved my car wheels to wards the Apollo Hospital. The consultation fees for OPD is Rs.350 in Apollo, if you are going for the first time , then you need to shell out Rs.110 more for registration. So I paidRs.460 for both registration and consultation.
I fixed an appointment with a lady doctor( I dont want to take her name) (Specialist - Diabetes & Endocrinology). After few moments, she called the name ; her behavior was not at all good. She wasnt interested to see the patient’s history. My father was carrying all the past reports with him. She doest know how to create a congenial atmosphere between a patient anda doctor. I felt very uncomfortable with her behavior.
We always expect a Dr. to be good in behavior and who listen to our problems. Why we are not going for any Govt. hospital for free treatment? We are paying the money to buy the best available treatment on the face of the earth.
I wouldn’t encourage or discourage you visiting Apollo Diabetic Center. But you know what you need to do.
Note : At the same time, I had an excellent experience in Urology Department of Apollo Hospital, Bangalore. The doctors are too good and helpful!!!
