It was sat 27th Sep 2008 evening 4.30 when we entered Apollo hospital located in Bannerghatta road opposite to IIM, with prior appointment for doctor Ashok kumar singh (Neurologist). My husband was sick and was unable to wait for long time. We walked into OPD for consultation and we were told to wait for sometime as there are 3 more patients before us, so we paid the consultancy fee and was waiting patiently even when people with no appointment walked into doctor’s cabin. At last we broke the long waiting time at 6PM when doctor walked away from his cabin for in-patient rounds, I went ahead and asked the receptionist of OPD by name "Roshan", what is happening? Why are we left unattended? He was so careless and least bothered to inform me that our file is not at all got from concerned department.
I went running behind doctor to find out why was I left unattend. Doctor who was in urgency told me that my file was not sent to him so he cant attend me. I went back to that weird guy Rohan to ask what is wrong with them y didn’t they get my file even thought I got prior appointment with the doctor. He asked us in an unconcerned way to wait for some more time saying his house keeping staff might have missed the file. When I asked what was their responsibility towards their job. He was least bothered to answer me.
My husband came to me and asked me to stay calm. He went ahead and asked what is going on. That fellow didn’t even had humanity towards sick person and didnt bother to answer. My husband asked what was his name and his supervisor’s name. He happily gave both name looking at his monitor and continued to play with it.
Finally we got the refund and walked away from the so called multi-speciality hospital meant for sick people. Before leaving the place we placed a complaint against Roshan to his superior Shashidhar. That was a very bad experience we had with Apollo when my husband was very sick.
