I had a real bad experience with Apollo specialty hospital in Chennai, Teynampet.I would suggest if anyone needs to go to this hospital please!! please think twice before going there. The doctors seem to be good but the management and the staff is the worst.
My father was admitted at the Main hospital in Chennai were he was taken good care. (I am not complaining about the main hospital in Greams road, Chennai) later he was diagnosed with cancer and was moved to the specialty hospital at teynampet, Chennai.
Now starts the worst experience of our lives. My father was in the ICU for two weeks the nurses who took care of him mostly are nurses who have zero experience they are just out of college. These nurses don’t even know how to do an IV therapy. My father was a diabetic patient too and sugar level was checked twice a day. Some of the nurses had to prick his finger twice or thrice to take blood for analysis. Don’t these guys know how to do it right the first time. My father is not a practice patient. He is in pain he is a cancer patient. This is just an example for things that happened there.
For the amount of money I paid there I was not given proper treatment. We spend so much money so that our loved ones will be cared but this hospital doesn’t care for people all they care is money.
My father is no more with me but the pain that my family had gone through at this hospital will be with me forever. This is my kind request for people who decide Apollo is the best don’t get fooled. I am not saying that everyone in Apollo was bad. The doctor who took care of my father was a nice person but he doesn’t spend 24hrs with his patients. It is the nurses who are there have to be well trained to take care of a sick patient and not a rookie who doesn’t know how to take temperature.
The staff in this hospital does not have a drop of compassion or humanity towards their patients. These people don’t understand in what pain we all stand in the ICU to take a glimpse at our loved ones who are battling this disease.
