I purchased a health insurance policy with Apollo Munich in May 2018. This year my due date to renew this policy was 29th of may. I had no claim for previous year so I was also eligible for no claim benefit of 2.5 lakhs. During the first year of policy I took treatment for my neck. I proactively informed apollo munich about this and sent my first visit prescription, second visit and reports to them as good note declaration. At the time of purchasing policy. My wife has thyroid as soon as I realised this I sent them the test report that we had done without any doctors advise as one of our relatives advised some home remedy to it as its not severe and can be treated easily as of now. I informed Apollo munich on 22nd of May as my policy was expiring on the 29th they asked me to wait unless I get a response from their team and dont make payment. Thereafter I have done multiple follow ups each day and I received numerous email but it was never resolved until one of their advisers asked me to make payment on the 22nd on june as they have a grace period to renew the policy. Thereafter its been 23rd of july and they really treat customers like an idiot there is no first call resolution policy and their customer service is pathetic this is the 23rd of july and I had a word with them yesterday again, somebody called me today and started explaining about an email which was sent on the 5th of july whereas after receiving that email I received a call from their grievance team saying that it will be resolved soon within a week. Everytime I tried to get this fixed they sent me email with AMHI number and reference and never issued my policy. I feel that as now they know that I have got a slip disk problem and soon might be in need to making a claim they made me so much frustrated that I had to ask for a refund of my premium that I had paid to them. They never transfer calls to supervisor on the floor and when supervisor calls he has no idea what he is calling for. Today when the agent called me he took my refund request a.s.a.p as if he was already prepared to do it without looking for a conclusion to issue the policy. Lousy, pathetic, worst company to book an insurance ever. You can never trust this company when you are in need as even for such simple issue they advised me 4 different times to wait for a week and so on. If I book my health insurance with a new company now they will charge me a high premium as now I have got a pre-existing medical condition. If you have an existing policy with them get this cancelled as soon as possible because you are never going to get any help.
