I contacted them for getting a policy for my mother who is 48 years old and after going through all the policy terms and conditions and 10-12 phone call clarifications, I decided that I would take a 7.5 lakh coverage.
Suddenly the day I decided that I wanted to purchase their easy health plan, they decided that they are not going to issue a policy for greater than 3 lakhs to my mother because she is a house wife! Insurance is not an EMI or a credit card that you need to see a persons income to issue him a policy- its all pre paid.
All this while, I was not once given any indication that there is a criteria for applying for this policy. When I asked the sales representative why this is not mentioned anywhere or was not told to me before, his exact words were "Sir obviously everything will not be given in the policy wordings"
So thats is when I decided to bid them adieu. So much for their plans of simplifying health insurance!
Also, their sales and customer support is very very amateur and it seems they have just memorized the contents of the website
