I recently moved from NOIDA to Hyderabad. Unfortunately I took the services of Apollo Packers & Movers( https://apollopackersindia.com). They charged a total of around Rs. 28000 for the entire household goods movement. The supervisor who came to NOIDA for tagging the items was good enough(later I came to know his blunders). My items were loaded on the 29th of September and were scheduled to arrive in Hyderabad on the 11-12 October weekend, on the basis of these dates I decided to vacate the company provided guest house and move to the rented accomodation. On 11th I was told that the items would arrive on the 12th, then same thing keep happening till 14th October and the items arrived at around 9 pm, all these days I had to sleep on the floor because of the false promise by the packers and movers(though this was not an issue), but surviving without the essential household goods was a nightmare for me.
Finally when the items started coming in the house I noticed that some of the items were "wet" with a very familiar strong odour, soon I realised that the "wetness" was from acid spillage from something, when I confronted the supervisor he said that I have an invertor battery which might have leaked, since my invertory battery is zero maintenance type there was no chance of leakage(later I realised I was correct). Battery acid from the other load(my items were brought in part load, ie. the truck was shared by two customers) had spilled and soiled my double bed and diwan. There was no apology from the supervisor’s side.
All the items were finally brought in my house at around 11 pm. Since it was too late I was not able to check the items and told the supervisor that I will do it in a day or two and will let him know of any damage(I had also paid for the insurance of the items), as I started unpacking I noticed that the legs of the sofa were broken, the bolts of the double bed were broken too. Due to incorrect tagging I lost a box containing kitchen items. When I called Apollo Packers they said that I should have told about the damages the very same day as per the condition mentioned at the back of the bill(I was literally shocked at this behavior), on the lost item I was told that I should have been vigilant at the time of packing.
The only good thing they did was return my plastic tub which too was missing. I had to get my car here as well, but this time I chose Allied Lemur, the car is here just 1 day late without any damage, next time when I move anywhere I will definitely take Allied Lemur’s services, though expensive their was a frangrance of customer service in their entire dealing
