I believe their is nothing to do with an apple hardrive that costs 14k for 2Tb. Its only because of the brand name apple and a logo on it.
Thier are better options in the market right now, I am not naming the brands but for 2TB external hardrive this is too much. You can get it for 7-9k in other brands.
In terms of specs the hardrive uses an old USB 2.0 interface which is now getting replaced by 3.0 in most devies. It has effects on speeds as well.
Though it has wifi connectivity but most people don’t use it because of speed issues and only ios connectivity.
