After much deliberations, I finalized this hotel for our 3 day vacation the 1st week of October. I took the normal package for 2 nights and 3 days. Coming to the relevant part of the review.
The good things first:-
Excellent room service and good quality of food
Clean room and bed sheets. My wife is a cleanliness freak. No foul smell or anything.
Disc, though small, was good. And they played the music even when it was just 2 of us present!
steam bath and sauna were good and refreshing.
It is at the highest point in Manali, in the log huts area. So good view from there.
Garden is good. And we thoroughly enjoyed our morning tea sitting there.
Now the not so good things:-
A little too expensive, even though it was almost an off season (though I must admit that I must have bargained more)
No non-veg food available! The hotel has a pure veg cuisine. And they didn’t mention it anywhere, not in the package description, or website, or mail communication, anywhere.
Buffet is not that good, at least the dinner.
4. Package includes just 100 Rs each worth bar coupons for entire stay, which is too less. Also, the rates written for the drinks in the bar are incorrect. So confirm before you order.
- It is far from Mall. Autos charge 50 Rs from Mall road to hotel, but you may not find one if you want to go from hotel to The Mall.
Bottomline: I would recommend it for honeymooners. But for any other vacation tour, you probably would want to have other cheaper options like Banon, Snow valley manor, etc.
