I was encouraged by my son-in-law to get an iMac because they are user friendly. Well, unfortunately, this user doesnt find it very friendly.
All of my friends are owners of P.C.s and that leaves me in the dark with regard to learning the finer points of this machine. I dont even know how to change the font when I am working on a site..
It is very beautiful, compact and if you only want to write letters and send simple email, its a great machine. The owners manual is exceeding brief and makes a presumption that the owner knows something about an Apple computer.
It has taken me 5 months to find a location that will give lessons and then it is an introductory course.
I must say that the Mac User Group on AOL has been exceedingly helpful. If it wasnt for these great folks Id really be at my wits end.
So, if you want a beautiful machine, buy an iMac. If you are proficient and comfortable with computers, perhaps and iMac is for you. But, if youre a ditz like me...you better stick to a p.c.
Ill keep you posted on how I make out with my lessons!!
