The iPad is probably the most reviewed tablet anywhere on the internet so I wont harp too much on its distinctive aspects. Ill keep this review short and detail my experiences only.
Quite clearly, the spectacular screen is the main USP of this tablet, but together with the iOS experience, it takes the tablet to another level completely. The Mac OS X has been labeled as "a celebration of common sense", and this extends to iOS too. Its not perfect, but who are we kidding, neither is Android or Windows Phone 8.
A screen real estate on 9.7" display is why I preferred this to the 7.9" iPad Mini, not to say that the Mini is worse. Forget movies(its a pain to convert movie files to a format that the iOS can play), the bigger screen is good even for something like browsing Facebook, and its highly recommended if you want to use it for any sort of iWork jobs, photo editing, YouTube viewing or game playing. The reason to go for a 32 GB version was to have more space for content, considering that Ill be using this device for a long time, and also for giving presentations(using the separately sold Lightning to VGA adapter).
Some people have called it abrick with respect to its weight vis-a-vis the iPad Mini or other Android tablets. Look, once you get used to it, it ceases to be an issue. The bigger and better screen outweighs the weight problem! Almost always youd keep the device on your lap or on the table, and then the weight issue becomes moot. For the record, Apple has been rumored to be reducing the weight by using better screen tech in the next iteration of the device.
Very happy with the device, and seems like Ill continue to be so for a very long time.
