The Apple iPad Pro has been officially released in India as reports from last week had predicted. The pricing starts from Rs 67, 900 for the 32GB WiFi model, which is barely a surprise given Apple’s pricing model for the Indian market.
The 128GB WiFi only model will set you back by Rs 79, 900 and those seeking the top of the line iPad Pro with 128GB of storage and 4G LTE connectivity will have to spend Rs 91, 900. Remember that the pricing doesn’t include the Apple Pencil, which has to be bought separately at Rs 8, 600.
The Smart Keyboard Case for the iPad Pro will cost you another Rs 14, 900, so you are basically going to shell out in excess of Rs 91, 000 if you purchase the entry level model and the two accessories that is heavily endorsed by Apple.
It will be interesting to see how the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will be received in the Indian market when it is released next month. The tablet features an arguably better hardware and also has a stylus of its own, similar to the iPad Pro. We also expect the pricing to be more competitive compared to the Apple iPad Pro.
Apple has made it quite clear that the iPad Pro is not meant for everybody, thus justifying the steep price tag. Will you be picking one up anytime soon?
