After much deliberation brought the IPAD, for my research I tried out some tablets at electronic stores but the finesse of IPAD, screen quality and touch responsiveness made me go in for the IPAD.
Though the IPAD is quite expensive compared to the other models (Rs. 32000/- for the basic WIFI model) but it feels like a very premium product, even when you use it you just feel that there is something very precious in your hand. (Just my thoughts on it)
In the box: the IPAD box comes with the following: IPAD (of-course), the cable and the plug, all neatly packed. My biggest surprise and grouse is that the ipad does not come with headphones, imagine paying 32000/- for a product and the company doesn’t provide with headphones. This is really unfair as the ipad can be used for voice chats, watching movies and videos etc but no headphones. The company expects me to pay another 1500 to buy those silly headphones.
The main attraction is the screen, it looks fabulous, picture, videos anything just pure joy to watch it on IPAD. The speakers on the IPAD are decent.
The IPAD comes bundled with some apple apps, you cant really do much with them. To really make use of the IPAD you will need good internet connection. Then you can surf, watch videos, download app etc to make full use of the IPAD.
I downloaded couple of apps, Bloomberg app just looks great on the IPAD, and even some of the games just look too good on the ipad. You will need to download lots of apps to make real use of the ipad, the good thing is that a large number of free app are available to be downloaded on the apple app store. Just want to add, that many of the apps which are available for the iphone are not necessarily available for ipad.
The battery is pretty good, am not much of a heavy user but the battery last two, three days easy. You don’t have to worry much about the battery.
Another issue I have with the IPAD is all the accessories are quite expensive e.g. the screen guard is 800/- from an unofficial retailer. The apple resellers are selling screen covers for as high as 3800/- the ipad cover will cost you another 1000 atleast.
Overall am quite happy with it. The product screams quality right from the time you get your hands on it.
