Apple has always been considered to be one of those top end brands, and somehow the craze that follows with the release of new models is enormous. However, I am not so much of a "gadget fanatic" and therefore settled for the iphone 4 model, as I only need the bare necessities of what a smart phone may provide.
What I always appreciate about apple is its simplicity and its functionality/ease of use.
Its an extremely easy phone to use, so much so, sometimes you can look away from the phone and still be using it.
However, as always, gadgets tend to always disappoint us after sometime as the usage and quality of the product seems to become stale, as with anything that is overused.
The battery life is ridiculously poor, and apple has always struggled to maintain a model with a very good battery life. I miss my nokia 1100, because now when it really comes down to just using the phone for what it is, its not possible because the phone dies on you and requires at least two charges every 24 hours. I think this is a tremendous waste of electricity, to say the least.
Apart from the battery, I bought the phone thinking they it was 8GB in memory size, but after having bought it, I learn that 2GB space is used for just the system functioning and RAM and whatever else, and that leaves me with only 6GB of space. I think this is absolutely fraudulent, because if they market it, bodly and openly mention how it has 8GB of space available, but you may only use 6, then that means you can only use 6!
So where is the question of 8GB arising?
And on the other hand, the phone is pretty heavy to begin with and sometimes becomes a big issue while using it in bed or something like that.
Anyway, I have this phone now, and I have somehow learned to live with what I have. But I wouldn’t suggest this phone to anyone really. No matter how fancy or how much it serves the status quo.
