Apples bold " Phablet ", i.e. the IPhone 6 Plus awed me and decided to upgrade from an HTC-One to the new offering by Apple. Here is a review and experience of using the phone for a week.
Design:
Typical to Apple, this is a eye-candy, its beautifully crafted and looks stunning. While there is clear change from a Rectangular shape to Samsung type design they seem to have pulled it off without looking like a copy-paste job, its a huge phone and the color pattern is constantly spread and is certainly one of the best looking phones ever made.
However, certainly theres one being drawback i.e. the popping out of the Camera-Lens, its just a small bulge but it does create inconvenience and have to be extremely careful not to damage it.
Screen and Display:
Having a Larger display comes with its own advantages one of it is of course what it can do to your viewing experience its a pure bliss watching Videos or even playing games on this device. Touch and UI experience is like always exceptional with any Apples device.
Since its a big phone using it in one hand is quite tough and accessing icons on the top of the screen is a challenge unless ofcourse you move it to the one-hand operation mode which is a little irritating.
Sound and Reception:
Nothing exceptionally different from any other top-end phones and its of premium standard without any complains
Camera and Photos:
Apple has stuck to its 8 MP camera without chasing the MP Race, but the photos that it can shoot are better than most other phones with higher MPs, its also largely to do with a powerful sensor that this phone has which many dont take a note of . Videos are smooth without any lag and there are couple of neat tweaks in the Camera App that can be useful.
The built in Camera App is thankfully simple to use with only sensible options( Some of the other phones have options which may not make any sense to a common user), the media generated also looks stunning thanks to the bigger screen and display.
Best Feature:
For me the best feature of the 6 Plus is the battery, its a huge relief to have a phone at the end of the day which has some life left in it!, this is long been ignored by many companies including Apple in the past, but this time around its delightful to have a phone battery that wont let you down.
Biggest Let Down:
The biggest let down is the fact that its a phone which you have to guard at all times, its quite slippery to hold with a poor grip a small drop can wreck the phone in few seconds, phone holder is a must, without which it may be a disaster in waiting
Overall:
One of the best moves from Apple and this category is here to stay and with Apple being Apple it may well lead this category for a Long time.
And Guys It didnt bend:)
