Apple has once again proved its dominance by providing an elegant phone which is powerful and beautiful at the same time. I waited a while to write this review as I wanted to test this device with the new iOS 10. I would like to highlight the pros and cons of this device along with various aspects of the device which stand out.
The software has been highly optimized with the addition of iOS 10. The locksreen widgets are quite helpful and personally, I love the raise to wake up as it gives all the information at a glance.
The A9 chip handles the gaming quite well. I usually play asphalt 8 and GTA on this device without running into any lag or heating issue.
The plus variant has more RAM which definitely helps me in my daily usage as I usually have 15-20 apps running in the background without any lag.
Battery is a bit of concern. I usually end up charging this device twice a day with moderate-heavy usage. The display is crisp and the operating system itself is quite power efficient. I certainly miss the quick charge technology on this device.
Camera quality is great in terms of low-light performance. After using it outdoors at night, I found the image quality to be great. The HDR mode works perfectly fine. The camera app itself is well- designed. I have also tried shooting 4k videos which are decent.
Touch ID is one of the fastest in the industry and iOS 10 has improved the speed and accuracy further.
3D touch is an interesting add-on but I rarely find myself using it. Maybe 3rd party apps need to make use of 3d touch. After iOS10, native apple apps have caught my attention towards using the 3d touch more frequently.
Verdict: Iphone 6s and 6s Plus have an eye-catching design and the iOS10 makes it more efficient than before. The camera quality is comparable to the galaxy S7. 3D touch is an interesting add-on which the user interface more friendly. The aluminium based body has proved to be strong and I don’t have a single scratch on it. Apple has made minor changes in the hardware to make this beast more fast and power efficient at the same time.Overall, With a headphone jack, this is a complete phone for apple enthusiasts.
