I am one of those who moved from 5S to 7 after long dreading not to go for a 4.7 inch screen and finally decided not to buy iPhone SE instead.
It’s been almost 12 hours since unboxing the black beauty and the first impression is that this is FASSSSSSST!(S used 7 times) compared to my still surviving 5S.
Apart from speed you can look into Apple’s approach towards future. This year they made the Home Button solid state, next year don’t be surprised if the front of the phone is a giant glass and no home button.
They have already patented similar technology. You will get used to the new haptic feedback instead of "clicking"sound in a day.
Right now I am learning to effectively use 3D Touch.
Sound is indeed very high due to new stereo speakers. Even during calls I had to keep them at 1/3rd the full volume to get same sound as of 5S.
