I feel like the people who gave iPhone XR low ratings didnt know what they were getting or didnt research. I did a lot of research on the XR by watching lots of YouTube videos of what the XR had to offer and the changes made to previous iPhone models. The first thing is that the XR doesnt have a fingerprint start button, instead it uses facial recognition to unlock it or a PIN code. The second is that the Control Center has gone from swiping up from the bottom to swiping down from the upper right corner. Third, it doesnt have 3D Touch, but now it has Haptic Touch which doesnt bother me since Ive never used 3D Touch on previous devices. Fourth, since there is no home button, to close an app you will need to swipe up from the bottom. Fifth, to take a screenshot, you will need to press and hold the sleep / wake button on the right side of the phone plus the volume up button located on the left side of the phone. Sixth, to completely turn off the phone, you will need to press and hold the sleep / wake button plus the volume down button, then slide the slider to the right. Seventh, the screen resolution is lower compared to my previous iPhone 7 Plus, I can honestly say I cant tell the difference. Eight, the camera is a single lens compared to the iPhone 7/8 Pluss dual lens, though it still takes great photos. I had a hard time getting used to the new features. Overall, I am very happy with my iPhone XR. So it all comes down to if you prefer the Home Fingerprint Button and 3D Touch, then stick with an iPhone 8 Plus or below, if you like the dual-lens camera, then stick with the 7/8 Plus, if youre one of those people who cant live without a headphone jack are left with the iPhone 6s Plus and lower. Hope my review helps you with your decision to get iPhone XR or not. Oh yes, one last thing, the battery life on the iPhone XR is amazing!
