I recently upgraded from a 3G to the new 4g iPod Touch. Mostly because of capacity. 16GB was simply too limiting. 32GB is much better. The fit and finish is excellent, as expected. The Retina display is amazing. If you’ve never had an iPod, maybe you won’t appreciate it. But if you do a side by side comparison it will blow you away. The text is much crisper. Pictures much sharper. And it is far better at zooming in on hi res pictures. The camera and video are also most welcome. The camera is just so so. It’s better than nothing. The video, however, is amazing. We have Wi-Fi at the house and FaceTime is a pretty cool application.
My only complaint is a long standing one with iPods: no radio functionality. How hard or expensive could it be to add this? With all the other options available, I don’t listen to much radio, but if a game is on it’s nice. Also nice at the gym if you have to stare at a muted TV monitor that broadcasts an FM signal.
