The iPod Classic is pretty much the ideal product if youre serious about listening to your music. With 160 gigs you shouldnt have much of a problem loading your whole music collection onto it. You can watch movies and TV shows on it too, but even though the screen in a pretty decent size its hard to fully enjoy a movie on it. It is a useful function to have for a passing time in waiting room or on a bus or something, but the ideal function for this iPod is listening to music.
It sounds great and if you have an auxiliary cable to plug it into your car radio it is definitely the ideal portable music product. having your entire music collection in your car, and not needing to change CDs while driving, is a pretty fantastic experience.
Though this is a fantastic product, the price is really only justified if you cant live without your whole music collection with you at all times. If theres just a select genre or group of artists you want to bring with you, or if you never listen to half of your music anyway, a nano is probably a better choice you.
Besides the price, the only obvious con of the iPod classic is how easily it can get scratched in damaged during regular use. If you want to keep your iPod in presentable condition buying a case or cover of some kind is a must.
