Ipod is a very gud product and it’s been at the best of what it does since quite a long time.
However I feel that it is slipping from it’s position due a lot of reasons :
Data portability : Putting your music in it is quite fast and easy but when it comes to retrieving it back it’s a pain. untill you have all of your music with correct mp3 tags forget that you can recover a file from the pod.
Video conversion : Ipod video offers quite good quality video on the move however the format is compatible only mp4/m4v formats. According to me a company providing with a enhancement should provide us with the means to use it also. Apple doesn’t gives an mp4 conversion s/w along with.
It is not as portable as it seems to connect it anywhere you would need to have I tunes and the Ipod drivers along. this is one feature that most of the other mp3 players give.
The PROs:
I have never seen a better quality in photo/video or sound in any other mp3 player be it sony/iriver/creative or etc.
gives a huge hdd for data transfer of huge files.
the most easy to use device. even a child can use it without reading the manual.
battery life is quite gud. if properly used it has given me a battery life of 12 hours on music and 4 hours on video.
I bought it for 15500 INR and feel it is absolutely worth the price.
