IPod from Apple. Two reviews before me have already been done but now I will tell you what is new.
iPod does Windows too now. Comes with MusicMatch software, which is very popular MP3 player on Windows. Still uses firewire (a type of port like USB, serial etc) so only PC’s with firewire will be able to use it or you may need to get a firewire card.
Expanded Storage Now it comes in 5Gb (1 Gigabyte = 1024 MB), 10 Gb, 20 Gb. You can play amazing amounts of music on it 1000-4000 high quality MP3’s. Also supports the latest MPEG4 format, AAC from Dolby. Use all this storage to transfer video, huge files, pirated software :), what can I say, the options are unlimited.
Lower Prices they now range from US $ 299 - $499. So anybody can now get a lower cost iPod too.
Battery Life: It has lasted anywhere from 8 hours to 12 hours. Yes I know, even I was surprised. Supposedly if you play songs from a playlist and don’t skip, change and make manual choices, then it seems to give better performance.
Remote It comes with a remote so that if the iPod is sitting in your jacket pocket the small remote, connected to the headphones allows you to play, skip pause, change the volume etc. Only on 10 Gb and 20 Gb models
Sound Quality The sound quality is absolutely awesome from these earbuds and like most ear buds they are a pain after a long time in the ear. One good feature is that Apple has made them in such a way that the wiring in these earphones doesn’t break. I have had Sony ear phones and eventually after the mishandling they would refuse to bring sound to my ears.
And the iPod earphones have been working with maximum abuse for over 8 months, purrfectly. NO Problems. I have to admit that the quality is totally top-notch, worth every penny.
User Interface the user interface is easy to use and anybody can get the hang of it without a manual. Ultimate ease of use.

to End, I will agree that iPod’s have a steep price, been trending lower recently (:) my favourite new feature). And the price that is charged is definitely seems reasonable when you look at the amount of music you can store, battery life etc. If you get anything better, go get it.
