Before buying the Ipod 80 GB I did a lot of research, as usual. Finally after narrowing down to the Beautiful Creative Zen Vision W 60 GB and the Ipod 80 I compared them and found that Ipod here is cheaper than the Vision W.
Therefore went for it and though the video screen is small its quite fun to use it and the sound quality is great. Of course, eventually I may still buy the Zen Vision W as it has a fantastic widescreen. But for now I am quite happy with the Ipod and have even connected it to my Pioneer headset and it works fine while getting charged on the move.
The biggest advantage in having an ipod is while travelling on a train. Its much easier to carry than a laptop and safer as well.
The only quirks are that the battery life isnt gr8 while watching movies. It easily gives more than 6 hrs though. Otherwise its a fantastic product, go for it. Worth it
